Philosophy of Women’s Ministry:
CCFB’s Women’s Ministry is a supplement to the teaching and ministry of CCFB at large. We do not operate separately from the fellowship of CCFB. We are under the authority and the direction of Pastor Kevin and the leadership of CCFB. Therefore, the pre-requisite for being a part of our Women’s Ministry is to be in fellowship at Calvary Chapel Fort Bragg. It is our desire to grow together as a church body. We do that by studying the word together on Sunday mornings, Wednesday nights, and participating in additional study/prayer groups with others from our home church, CCFB.
Titus 2:1,3-5 You must teach what is in accord with sound doctrine.
Likewise, teach the older women to be reverent in the way they live, not to be slanderers or addicted to much wine, but to teach what is good.
Then they can train the younger women to love their husbands and children,
to be self-controlled and pure, to be busy at home, to be kind, and to be subject to their husbands, so that no one will malign the word of God.
New Direction for Women’s Ministry: Discipleship
F.A.T. Chicks (faithful, available, teachable): These are the things that it takes to grow in a discipling relationship.
My vision for this new Women’s Ministry is that each of you would be meeting on a weekly basis at a more intimate level with one or two or even three other women, doing a Bible study, reading the Word together, or praying together. Then once a month on a Saturday we all will come together for a time of fellowship, devotional teaching, and sharing what God is doing in our lives.
Response Cards: I have singled out some women, who I have observed to be F.A.T., and asked them if they would lead the smaller group studies. When you return your response card to me, I will pair you off with one of them. You will decide together when you will meet and what kind of study to do.
Ephesians 4:14-15 Then we will no longer be infants, tossed back and forth by the waves, and blown here and there by every wind of teaching and by the cunning and craftiness of men in their deceitful scheming.
Instead, speaking the truth in love, we will in all things grow up into him who is the Head, that is, Christ.
