A few of us ladies were able to meet Rhonda Ray in Windsor this past weekend to suprise her for her birthday. We all miss her very much so it was a very special day!

The Language of Flowers
Amy did a research report on the Victorian Era's language of flowers. This bouquet is called a "tussy-mussy". Each flower/plant represents a virtue or feeling.
Amy made this as a birthday gift for one of her best friends.
The pink rose=grace, rosemary=rememberance, calendula=joy, ivy=friendship, rue=virtue, lemon verbena=love, and jasmine=amiability.

Snow!
We just got back from the Gold Country Worship Conference in Nevada City. Every year we go to this conference wishing for snow, and this year we got it...plenty of it too!!!! The kids had a great time and the adults survived. It was really beautiful...I admit to leaning more to the kids' opinion!
