Sea World

The first 2 weeks of our summer was spent in Southern California. We enjoyed a sunny day at Sea World with the cousins and Grandma. Carianne was so happy to spend extra time with the penguins, and Amy hated to leave the bat rays.

Ok...here's a preview of the play the girls are in. Sarah's make up looks scary, but they changed it (I'll try to get a better picture of her in here later). The clips are from Wednesday night's dress rehearsal. Amy is the understudy for Mrs. Beauregarde, Sarah is a Cook, and Carianne is an Oompa Loompa.

Carianne's 9th Birthday

We celebrated Carianne's birthday with a trip to Santa Rosa to go ice skating at Snoopy's Home Ice Arena and pizza at Chuck E. Cheese's. We had a lot of fun!!!!!!!

Summer is Officially Over

Well, the weather finally feels like summer, but all the other indicators are mking me come to grips with the fact that summer really is over. Our school year started two weeks ago and today was the opening day of soccer season! Sarah scored the winning goal in her first game with a powerhouse kick from nearly centerfield over the goalie's head.

Way to go!!!!

Sarah turned 11 this month! We celebrated with ice cream cake and presents at the Gillman's and then a day at the beach with all her friends.

Our trip started out with Kevin at the Pastor's Conference at Murrieta Hot Springs and we girls at my sister's house for a cousin reunion...

Braydon is getting so big!

Cathy, Nici and I took a memorable trip to the Huntington Gardens.

Off to Hollywood to see Prince Caspian at the El Capitan.

The theater was full of backdrops, props and costumes from the movie...very cool!

Just one more reason to love Northern California!!!!!!!

Father's Day! Notice the girls are wearing Dodger T-shirts to honor their dad. Kevin's old high school buddy, Bill, came up to Ramona with his family and so did Kevin's mom, Bea (far right). We had a very nice time together!

Grandma's dog, Paco, loved Carianne! The feeling was very mutual!!!!


We had a good time visiting our families and the old friends that have become family over the years, but we are very very very happy to be home with our church family here in Fort Bragg!
